April Newsletter, 2026
Thank you to everyone who came out to our prayer gathering at camp. I was genuinely blessed to see so many people from our different churches in one place, seeking the Lord together. It meant a lot. We also had some of our 2026 summer staff there, which made it even more meaningful. There’s something powerful about starting the season not with plans or programs, but with prayer.
This week is Holy Week, and I’ve been reflecting on the moment when Jesus overturned the tables in the temple. He did that because people were being taken advantage of during Passover. What was meant to be a place of prayer had become something else. Jesus makes it clear that His Father’s house is to be a house of prayer.
We don’t have to travel to Jerusalem anymore. The Holy Spirit now dwells in us. That changes everything. It means prayer is not tied to a place, but it also means every place we set apart matters. Especially here at camp.
As I think about this summer, I keep coming back to a simple conviction: we want camp to be a place where Jesus is clearly seen and heard. Not crowded out. Not buried under noise or expectations. Just Jesus. We don’t want to add unnecessary burdens on kids. Life already does that. Camp should be a place where they can breathe, slow down, and encounter Christ in a real way.
That’s why prayer has to be central, not just something we do, but who we are.
One way we’re stepping into that is through our new prayer cabin. I’m really excited about this. It’s a simple space, but it’s been prepared with a lot of care. Tim and Jasmine have put in a ton of work to get it ready, and I’m grateful for them. Soon, this cabin will be available for individuals to step away for a night or more to unplug, be still, and listen for the voice of God.
Keep an eye on the website for updates as we get closer to opening that up.
I’m praying this Holy Week is meaningful for you, not rushed, not routine, but reflective. That you take time to remember what Christ has done, and what it means for you today.
And as always, if you ever need prayer, you are welcome to come out to camp. We mean that.
